How SHG technicians in Georgia carry an enterprise field service commitment to the customer's equipment, one assigned work order at a time.
Read case study: Reliable support at the point of serviceMacy’s retail stores needed checkout equipment updated while daily operations continued. Essintial coordinated a 2025 POS hardware refresh across assigned locations. SHG supplied lead and assisting field technicians for Georgia visits, with work centered on register components, system readiness, inventory checks, and documented validation.
The planned device list did not always match the register mix found in a store. Technicians had to identify each register, perform the assigned work, flag differences quickly, check that updated systems were online, and review the day’s result with store management. The project playbook called for daily reporting and follow-up visits when a location still needed attention.
Thomas Law, SHG’s CEO, served in lead roles, with SHG technicians in assisting roles. Assignments covered the Atlanta mall-area market, including Southlake, Cumberland and Town Center, as well as Augusta. SHG also offered a lead and additional technicians for closeout revisits whenever the client needed them, giving Essintial dependable coverage across central and extended Georgia markets.
SHG estimates its teams updated more than 200 POS systems over approximately six months. Its contribution was coordinated staffing, register-by-register validation, and clear service records as the deployment moved from store to store.
A national restaurant network program planned scheduled site cutovers that required technicians to follow detailed visit instructions and confirm that essential services worked after each change. SHG was asked to prepare field coverage for open Georgia locations. The restaurant brand is intentionally unnamed in this case study.
In February 2026, SHG onboarded two team members for the program, a lead and an assistant, and confirmed their roles and availability for proposed sites. Thomas Law, SHG’s CEO, also took site assignments himself. It was a defined staffing response to a schedule that needed suitable technicians across multiple locations.
The program required a scheduled online training class, early computer login, camera attendance, and a test immediately after class. The visit guides and validation checklist described the checks technicians would carry out before and after a cutover. SHG organized a lead and assistant around these requirements and made the team available for assignment.
SHG estimates that its field support reached 50–100 restaurant sites over approximately three months. The work called for reliable attendance, adherence to the approved technical steps, and pre- and post-cutover checks.
For a distributed restaurant operator, each network change needs a technician who arrives prepared, follows the approved process, and records the condition of the site. SHG’s response illustrates how it can identify field talent, meet onboarding steps, and support a repeatable technical validation process across many locations.
The promise behind a Dell warranty repair becomes real when a technician reaches the site.
Staff Hub Global Incorporated (SHG) supports assigned Unisys field service work orders in Georgia, providing onsite diagnosis, authorized hardware warranty repair and a reported outcome.
For a company serving customers across many locations, consistency is felt in the individual visit. SHG’s Georgia technicians help carry Unisys’s service commitment to the customer’s equipment, whether the job ends in a completed repair or a clear next step. A dependable local provider helps preserve customer confidence one assignment at a time.
The relationship also depends on information moving with the work. Current assignments leave a shared service record: the assigned visit, technician activity and outcome can be reviewed by the parties. SHG UFS (Staff Hub Global Unified Field Services) is SHG’s proposed framework for connecting accepted work and field updates with Unisys-approved IT service management (ITSM) systems as each market is activated. That connection is a proposed next step, subject to Unisys’s approval and technical design.
Reliable service also has to be visible in the record. Arrival against the accepted service window, the repair result and any remaining blocker should be reviewable for every assigned order. The shared ticket record can show where service targets were met and where another action was needed.
For distributed service programs, reliable coverage begins with work that can be assigned, attended, completed or clearly advanced, and measured. SHG’s existing Dell-related support provides a starting point for a broader, jointly governed field-services network.
